With all due deference and patience, w hy the fuck does it matter what goes in first? I’ve seen it both ways.

Okay, what? People have been misunderstanding me all day. Give me some feedback. What’s going on in your brain?

First guy reacted defensively to a comment I made in social media that wasn’t contradicting him at all. I had to get that sorted over a few comments.
Second someone close to me decided that they were going to forget all of my talking mannerisms and decided a contradiction existed that wasn’t present. That one is still ongoing, with me bewildered.
Thirdly someone at work just told me how much they disagree with something that nobody proposed or mentioned, which led me to wonder why the fuck we were arguing about that in the first place.
And looking back at my response here, I note that it could seem sexual, except the context for the response is in relation to the tweet in the screenshot so while it’s giggle worthy I guess I don’t have a sense of humour today?

i feel you man, people do that to me all the time on here, OP even blocked me on social media but it’s been clear he doesn’t like me as a person but whatever. nowadays i just don’t tak e anything seriously on here and just lay low and try not to offend anyone while still being me, i might not intend to say something a certain way but people still take it in a bad way and run with that so i just try not to say anything that can be interpreted badly

The only time the milk should goes in first is if you are going back for a second bowl, and it’s left over milk

Man, sometimes it feels like I am spending most of my time online just trying to be clearer to people who can’t give two shits how well they read. Take the good with the bad, I suppose, I just hate being confused.

i understand fully. but i’ve been told it’s just a matter of perspective and that people are entitled to feel however they want about anything,(even if it’s literally fucking nothing) and that’s kinda fucked in certain ways but understandable in others, so i just try to be as inoffensive as i can. even still there are times where i try to be chill but people wanna still treat/react to me in certain ways so i just don’t care anymore, let em think what they want, i’m done honestly and it’s doing wonders for me

Because there’s like an 80% chance the ratio of milk to cereal will be way off if you put it in first. Plus, the cereal is likely to mostly float on top of the milk, leaving it unevenly and insufficiently doused in milk for optimal deliciousness. That’s why it matters.

I feel like that is the MO for every morning radio talk show.

Mrs. RPM is also wrong about this. Because I am a kind and supportive partner who desires domestic peace I have given up trying to change her and am more or less content to let her continue doing this simple task incorrectly and wastefully. Sadly, she has taught RPM Jr. to do it the wrong way too, but I hold out some hope yet of persuading him of the error of his ways. I blame myself for spending too many early mornings at the office during his formative years.
If she was in the habit of putting the toilet paper on the thing the wrong way, though, it never would have worked out between us.

This take is good and correct, and even then it only works right when you add a little more milk on top to submerge the cereal.

Doesn’t work with oatmeal. If it doesn’t work with oatmeal, then it isn’t a generally applicable rule, merely an aberration.

For me, it's never left in the bowl long enough for saturation to be a factor. I just add more milk or cereal until both are gone. But I only eat plain Cheerios and plain Grape Nuts and plain Quaker Oat Squares. I presume it matters more for other cereals like.. what do kids eat nowdays, Corn Pops or something?

Probably homophobic as well.
Right now, i t’s just fun to make random comments to your responses and see if you still think I’m serious.

But, BUT! , what if it’s a cereal that you prefer to stay crunchy until the last bite? I must try this.

When I eat oatmeal, I like to make it thick enough that I can form it to one side of the bowl. Then I pour in small amount of milk as I eat it, ensuring that the oatmeal stays hot and the milk stays cold.

That’s pretty fringe, but acceptable.
